Carpenters Cottage offers three bedroom, two bathroom self-catering holiday accommodation for five people in Derbyshire, not only close to all the attractions of the National Park, but within walking distance along the Derwent River to Matlock
Standing by the mill stream looking down the Lumsdale valley, Carpenters Cottage combines charming character with abundant features to give a relaxing holiday. The Derbyshire Dales offers breathtaking views , rolling hills, quiet lanes, cycling trails combined with the historic beauty of stately homes and architectural heritage.
Carpenters Cottage is located in a sensitively converted 18th century flour mill complex. It is 4 star accredited by the VisitBritain Tourist Board and can accommodate five to six people. It is ideal for walking and cycling in the Derbyshire countryside.
The warm self-catering Cottage offers excellent accommodation. It sleeps up to 5/6 people in three bedrooms, has an ensuite shower and toilet, a separate bathroom with bath, central heating. a fully equipped kitchen plus a separate light and airey lounge/dining room. There are two designated off road private car parking bays.
Close by are:
- Matlock, Abrahams Heights and Matlock Bath including the park, shops, restaurants and pubs.
- Scenic villages and historic towns like Ashbourne, Buxton and Bakewell.
- Many walks, cycling trails, factory shops, fishing, golf, country gardens, steam railways and canals.
- Derbyshire and the National Park/Peak District plus the stately homes (e.g. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall) of Derbyshire
