Inside The Carpenter's Cottage Self Catering Accommodation
The three bedroom, self-catering cottage located in the Derbyshire Dales has accommodation which is warm, light, spacious, well fitted and equipped with gas fired central heating throughout.
The lounge/diner has a table for eight and two settees (one is a double sofa bed). An electric coal effect fire provides a focal point. TV, DVD and video are provided together with a selection of pre-recorded videos.
There are windows to the front and rear of the lounge/diner and French doors opening on to a balconied deck. Steps from the deck lead to a paved sunny south-facing garden bordered by a dry stone wall.
There is a lovely view down the Lumsdale valley towards Matlock and across the rolling Derbyshire hills to Riber Castle. Running next to the cottage is the picturesque Bentley Brook. A barbeque and garden furniture are provided for use in the walled garden.
The kitchen has an oven and hob, washer/drier, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, table and four chairs.
On the first floor are three bedrooms. The spacious main bedroom has a double bed. There is an en-suite with shower cubicle with electric shower, hand basin and toilet. The window faces south down the Lumsdale valley

The second bedroom has a full size single bed with a pull out bed beneath it. This can be used for making up a double or be used as two singles.
Bedroom 3 has a full size single bed and a full size folding Z bed. The accommodation is best suited for two young children or one adult.
The main bathroom has a full size bath with shower over, toilet and basin.
Behind the garden wall, there are two designated tandem parking spaces for the Cottage in the Mill's private parking area.
Matlock with shops, restaurants, pubs, are less than a mile away. The nearest bus stop is only 200 yards away. The lovely Derbyshire Dales are a short walk away and the Peak District is a short drive .
Jayne Eyre country is very close. Rochester's home, (Thornfield Hall), is Hadden Hall with its wonderful Long Gallery. The Red House Stables at Darley Dale supplied the horses and carriages. Other locations in the BBC programme are Sudbury Hall and Kedleston Hall as well as Bolsover Castle where The Riding School became the interior of Lowood School and dormitory of the young girls.
